Unsaintly Judging Saints: The Dangers of Hasty Criticism

In our pursuit of spiritual excellence, we often find ourselves judging revered figures, forgetting their humanity. This phenomenon, dubbed "unsaintly judging," can have far-reaching consequences. It's essential to recognize the dangers of hasty criticism and cultivate empathy.

*The Dangers of Judging Saints*

1. *Spiritual Hubris*: Believing ourselves superior, we judge others' faith, neglecting our flaws.

2. *Lack of Empathy*: Forgetting their struggles, we criticize their mistakes, disregarding their context.

3. *Misrepresentation*: Cherry-picked flaws distort their true character, creating unfair perceptions.

4. *Discouragement*: Criticism can deter others from spiritual pursuits, fostering disillusionment.

5. *Self-Reflection Neglect*: Focusing on others' flaws, we overlook our own, hindering personal growth.

*Consequences of Unsaintly Judgment*

1. *Division and Discord*: Criticism fuels conflict, damaging communal harmony.

2. *Spiritual Growth Hindrance*: Judgmental attitudes stifle growth, discouraging exploration.

3. *Misguided Perceptions*: Inaccurate representations lead to misconceptions.

4. *Unforgiving Atmosphere*: Criticism creates an unforgiving environment.

5. *Missed Opportunities*: Judgment blinds us to valuable lessons from revered figures.

*Alternatives to Judging Saints*

1. *Compassionate Understanding*: Approach flaws with kindness, acknowledging humanity.

2. *Constructive Feedback*: Offer guidance, promoting growth.

3. *Empathetic Listening*: Hear their stories, fostering connection.

4. *Self-Reflection and Introspection*: Focus on personal growth.

5. *Focused Spiritual Growth*: Prioritize development over criticism.

*Conclusion*

Let us approach revered figures with empathy, recognizing their struggles. By refraining from unsaintly judgment, we foster spiritual growth, understanding, and harmony.

Whatever you have not been able to address this year will follow you into next year. And please, carryover is not a bad thing to some sort. The debts you ran into this year and never settled it will follow you into next year no matter how you prayed! The clothes you didn’t wash on 31st night won’t suddenly appear neat on 1st January. There is no single difference between the new year and the old year just that you are reminded that time is passing! It is the same air, the same atmosphere, the same issues… Nothing changes except what you choose to change. It is better to carry over things and really solve them next year than thinking you’d run away from it because you spent a few hours in Church on 31st night. The only thing about the New Year is the change of number,...
